CGB woman charged for allegedly uttering forged document to Immigration Dept- RVIPF

CANE GARDEN BAY, Tortola, VI- As part of an investigation into a forged document presented to the Immigration Department in 2022, a female was arrested on July 4, 2024.

According to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), Tasheka Bernard, 31, of Cane Garden Bay, Tortola, was charged with one count of Conspiracy to Provide False Information to a Person Employed in a Public Service, contrary to sections 124 and 346 of the 2013 Criminal Code, and one count of Conspiracy to Uttering a Forged Document, contrary to sections 257 and 346 of the 2013 Criminal Code.

Police in a press release today, July 5, 2024, said Bernard was granted $20,000 bail and is to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on September 12, 2024.

"This investigation is being led by the COI Police Investigation Team. As the matter is now in sub judice the RVIPF will make no further comment," the RVIPF stated.

    When will labor department able identify all them forged documents they getting. Person taking out their picture and insert their spouse own and change name and give to labor stating them so qualified for the job. But labor cannot identify a Forged certificate.

      Labour dept is doing going the lengths and depths to check nothing. Patrons get away with falsifying documents all the time, that’s why over 90% of permits are approved, they do not do their due diligence.

    Persons from CGB don’t need to go to immigration where is this woman from not CGB start putting where these folks are from.

    Lets start investigating all of those who applied for and were granted residency or belongership during that fast track farce, people who dont even live here for years being granted...even some who are admitted to the BVI Bar association, lied in their applications..dont luce here..not lived here for years.. ( full time residency is part of the requirement to apply, this all needs to be investigated properly and lawfully
