JOHNSON’S GHUT, Tortola, VI - A cement mixer truck toppled down a hill in the Johnson's Ghut area today, May 24, 2024.

The driver is believed to have escaped without injury.

It remains unclear what exact circumstances resulted in the truck, which belongs to Tortola Concrete Limited, going off the road.

    Thank God no lives lost. People need to pray continuosly when the step out of their homes to drive on these roads. It seems like the roads are hàunted, or sometning. Keep your vehicles road worthy, and drive carefully, in Jesus name.????????

      I hope the driver was not injured. The top of the truck looks smashed. Stop the haunted crap! The drivers must maneuver at a safe speed and distance from the edge. Yes, the roads are bad so safe driving is a must.

    Those guys be driving reckless sometimes and speeding.

    I see on enter the round-a-bout full speed. What's the rush? And then they post their stunts on some Facebook truck page.

    There should be a designated time for trucks to on the road hauling heavy loads. The drivers have no care for the regular motoring public, some drivers reckless

      That's my thought. Between 12 am and 6 am. They are a f**k to society and a hazard to the motoring public.

    That accident was not cause by speeding. Impossible for the truck to be going up that hill even 20 mile per hour. What I think happens base on the wheel marks. The Driver was holding his side very very close and might have been distracted or his judgement was bad . He was definitely driving way too close to the edge.

    Do not change gear in middle of hill...Put your low gear in from the bottom of the hill and take your time and go up the hill...

    NOT A MYTH , THESE KINDS OF THINGS HAPPEN MORE FREQUENTLY / DISASTERS / TRADGEDY ETC , PLUS A LOT OF THESE BIG TRUCH DRIVERS LOVE TO " PRESS THE PEDAL TO THE METAL " SOME SHOULD NOT BE DRIVING ANY BIG TRUCKS , WHEN I HEAR THEM COMING I ALWAYS KEEP AN EYE BON THEM IN CASE I HAVE YO TAKE EVASIVE ACTION ,( LIKE RUN FOR TO SAVE MY LIFE
