Cavaliers press on after fourth tournament win
Speaking with Club President, Gin Bharat, he expressed that this year's knockout tournament saw some very exciting games which clearly proved that they were a champion team.
The team decided as a result, to hold a recognition of the members who assisted in getting them to where they were at this point.
He added that the mainland, Tortola, where the home team is based, had a good reaction but bemoaned the fact that no crowd support was there in Virgin Gorda for the Tournament.
"When we started here, cricket was a big thing in Road Town Tortola", subsequently he noted, "cricket started to die away". This he suggested may have been as a result of their original playing field being converted to an athletics track.
Bharat thanked the sponsors, Nagico and Scotiabank, who assissted them and welcomed their future participation suggesting that this would help to popularise the game on the Islands and among the locals.
