CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI- The late former Minister for Health and Social Development Mr Carvin Malone is to be honoured posthumously by the League of British Virgin Islanders.

Mr Malone, who died on January 14, 2024, at the age of 64, will be honoured at the League of British Virgin Islanders’ Scholarship Luncheon slated for Victor’s New Hideout, Subbase, St Thomas, US Virgin Islands (USVI) on March 3, 2024.

Coincidentally, Mr Malone was among 5 persons to be honoured; however, he passed away suddenly.

President of the League of British Virgin Islanders Mr Moleto A. Smith Jr said the Board of Directors, with the consent of the Family of Carvin Malone, has determined it most fitting to bestow the honor for him posthumously, during the March 3, 2024 scholarship luncheon.

“Our sympathies and prayers are with his family and the entire BVI community during this difficult time of bereavement,” Mr Smith, Jr stated.

‘A champion for the Virgin Islands’

Mr Malone served as the Minister for Health and Social Development (2019-2022) during one of the most difficult times of the global Covid-19 pandemic.

He was also a VIP Member and was its long-time President, before entering elective office. He was defeated in the 2023 General Elections in his bid for a second term, however, Mr. Malone remained very active in educating the public on topical issues with his One Virgin Islands Agenda platform.

Mr Malone also served as a Former President of the BVI Chamber of Commerce and Hotels Association and as Vice President of the BVI Amateur Basketball Association.

He was also President of the Lions Club of Tortola for some time.

Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) said Mr Malone was a champion for the Virgin Islands, and his sudden passing was shocking and heart-wrenching.

Who ever wrote this article better come clean about those poisonous vaccines. What a day when black people wake up and realize how wicked the governments system is.

I would agree, he was a very mild-tempered well spoken man. Honestly, I still feel sad when he run across my mind or I see his picture.
