Carlisle House are ESHS cheerleading champs!
At the end of the three-hour affair, Carlisle House, all decked in yellow, came out the winners. They beat the decked in red Flemming House (271) which scored second.
O'Neal House, all dressed in blue, accumulated 248 points for third place while Lettsome House, decked out in green, brought up the rear with 141 points.
The best choreography was a tie between Carlisle House and O'Neal House while best execution went to O'Neal House. The best chant and cheer went to Flemming House and the best showmanship went to Carlisle House. For the category of best technique, Carlisle House and Flemming House shared the prize.
The event was hosted by LIME Manager for Marketing and Corporate Communications Kareem-Nelson Hull, who kept things alive for the packed audience which left standing room only.
There were giveaways and other side attractions to keep the crowd engaged while the judges tabulated scores.
Some persons had the chance to shoot for baskets to win cash prizes while others topped up their LIME phone for a chance to win an IPhone 6.
Speaking to the audience, acting Principal of the Elmore Stoutt High School Mrs Sandy M. Underhill thanked all those who worked to make the event a success, emphasising that the committee tasked with putting the event together had only three weeks to do so.
It is the intention of the ESHS that this competition will become an annual one.
