Car burns on Bound Tree Road, Tortola
It was yesterday, June 5, 2017 that an SUV burst into flames while ascending Bound Tree Road on Tortola.
No one was injured but the vehicle was burnt to a shell.
Frequency of vehicle fires
It was on April 29, 2017 that a car caught fire in East End. The vehicle was saved from being completely destroyed thanks to public spirited persons and later the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue.
On April 18, 2017 at separate locations on the main island of Tortola, two vehicles caught on fire.
The first vehicle fire occurred in Belmont Estate, while the second incident occurred at Long Trench.
On Saturday February 25, 2017, an SUV was destroyed by fire on Great Mountain, on the main island of Tortola
On Sunday February 19, 2017 a car was damaged by fire also in Great Mountain, while on February 12, 2017 a vehicle was destroyed after it caught fire in the Pockwood Pond area.
