BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI- Members of the public are invited to public consultation meetings, as the development of a strategic development plan for the BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) is underway.

Talking Points Co-host Damion C. Grange, who works with the BVIHSA, said this plan will hopefully serve the BVIHSA for the next five to eight years.

During Talking Points on Monday, February 16, 2025, on ZBVI 780 AM, Mr Grange said KPMG is contracted to assist with the process.

Public meetings begin tonight

Grange said the first of the meetings will take place from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM tonight, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the West End Community Center.

He urged members of the West End community to come out and share with the team.

The meetings move to the Church of God of Prophecy in Long Look on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, also from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

“We’re inviting persons to come on out and share your views, your thoughts, your expectations on what you hope to see as it relates to the delivery of care in the East End/Long Look community,” he explained.

“The KPMG team, they’re collecting the information and hopefully that information will inform the strategic plan for the BVI Health Services Authority,” Grange added.

The BVIHSA seeks to ensure a clear and effective path toward future growth and stability through the strategic development plan.

Hope the staff can see at lease two increments to the salary and better health programs for the staff plus retirement incentives

The institution is in a poor place financially. Where are they going to get money to pay two increments? Look at what's happen in the States with Federal workers. Be thank for what you have.

They need to train their darn nurses trainees on how to treat patients instead of experimenting on them and flooding them to death with Intravenous Fluid and how to be confidential from sharing patients personal information with Simon and company

As if anyone really has a plan for the BVI other than jam their hand into the cookie jar and see what they can grab.

All this money and talk to tell them to hire qualified executive management instead of somebody’s family or friend from Rotary? This has to be a joke.
