BVICC ready to be empowered as ‘watchdog of our nation’

VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- “We are ready to be empowered to continue our assignment as the ‘watchdog of our nation and the conscience of our community, which was given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ,” the BVI Christian Council (BVICC) has declared ahead of the installation service for its new executive committee.

The inaugural installation service will be held at the Sanctuary of Hope New Testament Church of God on Virgin Gorda from 5:30 pm today, Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

During the service, the BVICC will take the opportunity to express its gratitude to the outgoing Executive Committee for its “dedicated service” during the past term.

“It is with great joy that we invite you to attend this significant occasion. We thank God that He kept the Council over the years with His powerful right hand and brought us together from different churches and denominations across the Virgin Islands,” BVICC stated in a press release dated April 9, 2025.

Transportion to VG

Persons traveling from Tortola to attend the service are encouraged to take Speedy’s Ferry from Beef Island at 4:30 pm and return on the 8:00 pm ferry.

Rosemarie Flax was re-elected Vice President.

    I guess that they mean well but I only hear about them when they are complaining about someone else's choice of entertainment. And they're never fully informed about it, as if they get an opinion and run with it and nevr do any fact checking. All Vybz Kartel turned christian and they fight him for his old music. Like if Paul and Matthew never had a conversion in their life. So I don't understand what they stand for. Perhaps they could explain better to persons like myself.
