Mr Menal said, “The closure is necessary to facilitate urgent repair works to the fire appliance which are critical to maintain our safety standards”. He added that provisions have been made with the domestic fire services for coverage should an emergency evacuation be required.
The Managing Director is urging travellers with confirmed tickets for travel during the period of closure to contact their respective airlines directly for information regarding their travel.

Sole Airport Taxi Service Operator @ T.B Lettsome Int'l Airport from Feb. 17, 2025
The BVI Airports Authority (the Authority) wishes to inform all taxi operators providing service at the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport that, effective February 17, 2025, there will be a sole airport taxi service operator responsible for exclusively managing all taxi services at the Airport.
To continue operating as an Airport Taxi, you must apply to join and become a member of the designated Airport Taxi Association. Membership with the Association will require your adherence to a Strict Code of Conduct.
The Airport Taxi Association will serve as the point of contact for all membership-related matters and Taxi operators are required to liaise directly with the Association for detailed information on the application process and membership requirements.
