BVI Post launches new King Charles Coronation Commemorative Stamps

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – New commemorative stamps have been revealed by Acting Postmaster General Mrs Iris T. Romney to mark the Coronation of King Charles III on May 6, 2023.

This collection was launched today December 19, 2023 and features stamps of different denominations according to a release from the Ministry of Finance and BVI Post.

The 20-cent stamp depicts London, England, UK, on 6th May, 2023. King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla are seen leaving Buckingham Palace ahead of the coronation ceremony in Westminister Abbey. 

The 35-cent stamp depicts King Charles III after being crowned with St. Edwards’s crown by the Archbishop of Canterbury the most Reverend Justin Welby during his coronation ceremony in Westminister Abbey, London. 

More stamps revealed 

The 50 cent depicts King Charles III and Queen Camilla travel to Buckingham Palace in the Gold State Coach after their coronation ceremony in Westminister Abbey, London.

The 1.00 dollar depicts King Charles III and Queen Camilla on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, London, following the coronation.

BVI Post also revealed that First Day Covers and Mint Sets are now available for purchase at the General main post office in Road Town, Tortola, and at the Valley Branch post office on Virgin Gorda (VG).

    Them stamps need to be thrown in the garbage. A history of murderers are still been glorify. Put a stamp of our black heroes that is a reflection of who we are, the ones fight and stand up against these devils
