BVI Food Fete 2025 kicks off on Valentine's Day
Director of Tourism Mr Clive L. McCoy said, “Food Fete 2025 is a celebration of who we are as a people, it is about the little things like the touch of sugar in our peas soup that makes it uniquely ours. It is also about the moments we share over a glass of guavaberry liquer.”
These events, Mr McCoy added, are more than just a series of culinary experiences but a gateway inviting the world to the Virgin Islands (VI) through its flavours.
“It’s a showcase of our destination, a testament to the warmth of our hospitality and celebration of our culinary heritage,” he continued.
Mr McCoy invited locals and visitors alike to “be a part of the story” continuing, “Every bite and interaction is an opportunity to connect with our culture and our people.”
BVI Food Fete is a crucial event for Territory
“Tourism is the lifeblood of our economy and events like Food Fete play a crucial role in attracting visitors to our shores by participating you’re not just treating your taste buds, you’re contributing to the growth and prosperity of our beautiful islands,” the Tourism Director stated.
Mr McCoy said Food Fete 2025 is a chance to showcase the best of the BVI through positive public relations and marketing. It’s an opportunity to tell our side of the story through the universal language of food.
Coming together over a meal creates memories and builds a stronger, more vibrant Virgin Islands he said.
Events for Food Fete 2025 include:
- Jost Lime and Dine- February 14 to March 16, 2025 (Every Saturday and Sunday)
- Taste of Virgin Gorda- March 22, 2025
- BVI Restaurant Week- June 28 to July 5, 2025
- Anegada Lobster Festival- November 28 to November 30, 2025
