BVI defeated by DR in final of ‘Battle of the Fittest’
The star studded BVI squad lost 74-88 at a jam packed L.B. Scott Sports Auditorium. It was the second time losing to the Dominican Republic at this year’s tournament and the first time the BVI (3 titles) will not be returning with the championship trophy since they began participating.
The defeat came despite a heroic effort from killven M. Samuel who knocked down 26 points, pulled 7 rebounds and made 3 assists.

The Dominican Republic were led by MVP Hansel Salvador, who ended with 30 points and Michael Mendoza, who also netted 30 points.
