BVI Airports Authority cashier arrested on suspicion of theft
According to sources within the BVIAA, the woman (name provided) had allegedly been under the watchful eyes of the BVI Airport Authority's management for some time now but what led to her subsequently being taken into custody yesterday is not known.
"I don't know if it was that they set her up by putting hidden surveillance cameras or what but they finally pulled the plug on her yesterday morning and it was a big shame," alleged one source.
Contacted for confirmation on this report, Public Relations Officer of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Ms Diane Drayton moments ago said, "A female was arrested on suspicion of theft. The individual is an employee of the BVI Airports Authority."
This news site is not at liberty to release the suspect's name at this time as, according to Ms Drayton, "She was discharged pending further investigations."
