Burglars attempt to break in home @ Nibbs Estate

NIBBS ESTATE, Tortola, VI- There was an attempted break-in at a residence in Nibbs Estate in Sea Cows Bay last week, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has informed.

According to the RVIPF, its officers responded to a report of an attempted break-in at a residence in Nibbs Estate on September 2, 2026.

It said preliminary enquiries revealed that the homeowner was alerted by his security cameras to two individuals attempting to gain entry to the residence.

Upon arrival, the RVIPF continued; officers observed evidence consistent with an attempted forced entry.

Investigations are ongoing.

    Nibbs Estate is a nice quiet spot in Sea Cows Bay to live. Hope it is not someone from in there or someone that is renting and bring in the bad element from the outside. Just like up Porter Ghut use to be a nice quiet place to live now all kind of bad element is up and down up Porter Ghut messing everything up.

      Its not someone from the estate. This is the 2nd time it happened to the same property. No other houses touched. Definitely targeted on that 1 man.

    He needs a couple of guard dogs in his home while he is not home. Either Pit bulls or German Shepherds. That will teach the intruders. I had guard dogs, and they scared off a few intruders. My dogs died of old age, and I am old now, but I will get 2 more. They are loyal to their owners.
