ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Last night June 20, 2014 Club Elusion in St Thomas US Virgin Islands was rocking to the live performance of Virgin Islands' son of West End, Tortola, who goes by the studio name ‘Bump Breezy’ as he released his first ever studio album.

“That’s because I get a lot of love, not only from my home in the Virgin Islands but I get a lot of love overseas,” Bump Breezy said as he was hit with the question of why not launch at home.

He said that his performing in the USVI is not anything new as he would have performed alongside I-Octane, opened for Busta Rhymes, and competed in the VI Idol where he had tied in the first place.

Speaking with Virgin Islands News Online shortly before departing the USVI for his international release Bump Breezy said that he savours the moment as it is hard work, dedication and determination that has paid off as he steps further out into the music industry.

The album is titled ‘The Virgin Islands P.A.C’ and this he said has a two-fold meaning. He explained that he is a big fan of the late Tupac Shakur and said that his style is somewhat a blend of Shakur’s, the other side says, “Progression, Aggression and Congression.”

Speaking of his admiration for Tupac Shakur he said, “How he believed in his craft and something that he believed in and he stood up for even if it meant him standing alone. Those are some of the very qualities that I see in myself. But I also have my own distinctive qualities as to the type of music I do as far as the genre of music and the things talked about as far as being bold and things like that,” he noted.

In a previous feature with this news site Bump Breezy had spoken of his passion for owning things and today, he sees this move as one more thing that he can safely say he owns. One other thing he also owns his that seal stamped paper for the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College as he recently graduated.

“I had a lot of mixed tapes and a lot of street singles but I just feel it’s really time for me to release something that I 100% really own.” He said that he had everything used in putting the album together built from growing up.

“All the instruments everything I own 100% but as far as the production goes the album was produced by Lincoln Ward. As far as features goes I have Laz, Infamous, Pressure, Vanquish, and the list goes on.”

He stressed that he was very keen on putting out a project that had excellent substance, “Everybody knows that I could rap but in putting this project together I was more focused on giving the people substance.”

Come Friday 27, 2014 he plans on having his first studio launch here in the VI, his home.
