Building that houses Premier’s Office evacuated


Cutlass Tower houses the Office of the Premier, the Office of the Deputy Premier, the International Affairs Secretariat, BVI Finance and other offices.
The Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Services were called to the scene and, subsequently, persons were allowed back into the building.
Unconfirmed reports are that an elevator hydraulic leak was detected.
Efforts to get a comment from Fire and Rescue Services were futile up to the time of publication.
Premier's Office & other Gov't Offices closed
Meanwhile, the public has since been notified that the Premier’s Office, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sustainable Development, and the International Affairs Secretariat, located at Cutlass Tower in Road Town, are closed today, March 19, until further notice.
