She will last. She has the staff who will work alongside her to make it.great. The problem is with our Labour and immigration dept. Instead of approving work permits for racist individuals, they need to put a stop to it. We as BVIslanders need to push for our own. Look at our country, philipenos more than locals. I will end it here.

Congratulations miss. How come most persons being promoted in the private sector are of a light complexion and beautiful. I am not sure of the lady’s qualifications I am sure she is. Beauty and color however has it’s benefits. It that be the case then it would disqualify almost all bvislanders from qualifying. There is no way she is a bvi by birth and if she is surely the beauty came from down island parents. Yea you down island haters cuss me out we have the beauty and may I add the brains. Continue to shine my sis.

That is such a dumb azz statement. We are all shades of brown. And her parentage should not matter. She is a bvislander and a female. That's enough to celebrate her.

What an idiotic comment!!! I am a qualified VIrgin Islander whose parentage are of two different Caribbean islands, light complexion and is considered beautiful but will never agree that my upward mobolity in life is due to my light skin and pedigree! If you read the article, it states the different positions she previously held with this particular establishment. Why did you havebto bring colorism into this forum and why do you have such a negative outlook on life? Please pray that our Almighty God will change your prospective because it reeks of asinine behaviour. Please stop it! Grow up! This type of shameful behaviour has no place on this forum or elsewhere. Peaceful day to you. God bless you and all those who make the Virgin Islands (UK) their home. Lets spread Peace, Joy and Love.

Idiot behind a screen as usual, people tend to forget they have families and would not like this at all. But this is the world we live in today. If it was porn, you would of have a field day on her but it's a great accomplishment for one of our own and here, you come with all this. Crazy as human with a small mentality

I cannot confirm beauty until I see who is behind the computer. For all I know you could look like the face of Satan, but from your comment I can tell you don’t have much sense at all.

By the way, don’t forget Silver and Caribbean Airways still flying. Your home country is calling home all IDIOTS living abroad and feeding off another country.

Blah! Blah! I want to hear as a BVI born that she bought off that property instead of been given a whip to beat the people into hard labor to produce capital wealth extraction to white owners.

Congrats Bria. Love love love to see our young people moving into these leadership roles. Stay focus stay humble stay grounded. Haters and challenges will come at you, but know God's guidance is the best. Your upnfront now, Heavy is the head the wearer's the crown. There are lots of positive experienced people out here you can communicate to about the Hospitality industry. The women at Maria's by the sea, Mr. Lettsome of Oil Nut Bay, Cline at Indigo & Ivan's Stress Free, Ms. Parsons, Prince at the college, these are just a few who are still very active in the hotel and restaurant field with great knowledge and extreme positive vibes. Again Congrats and God speed on your journey.

Congratulations to Bria Guishard. Many of us have been around the hospitality industry for years- it's one of the pillars of our economy. The success of a manager largely depends on their understanding of the Caribbean- how things work; how to inspire a disparate work force; how to lead; and, unfortunately, in a nod to the BVI, how things work here, like the labor dept... I note LB brought in a succession of probably very qualified managers from other parts of the World. I bet they were all frustrated working in the Caribbean and that's why they moved on. It doesn't really matter the colour of your skin but instead understanding and embracing the Caribbean is the key to success in this and other fields.
