Bougainvillea Clinic successfully performs first kidney transplant
The patients were Nikko Salmon, 28, who donated one of his kidneys to his father Neville Salmon, 54, who was having kidney problems for some time and on dialysis for the past three years.
Both patients are said to be recovering well and have been up and about shortly after surgery.

Meanwhile, the first time the procedure of Radioactive Seed Implantation (known as Brachytherapy) was done in the Virgin Islands (VI) was on January 6, 2017, at the Bougainvillea Clinic, when a team of doctors and supportive personnel led by Dr Dwayne Thwaites successfully carried out the procedure on three patients.
