Bomb threat made to Water & Sewerage Department
The call was reportedly made around 11 a.m., however, it is not clear if the call was made to the Road Town Police Station or to the Water and Sewerage Department itself.
Acting Public Relations Officer of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Sergeant Carl Mason confirmed to Virgin Islands News Online that a threat of that nature was made but could not give much details since he said ranks were still investigating the incident.
"It seems to be an idle threat by someone but of course our officers are still taking the issue seriously."
Sergeant Mason also said the police would be issuing a press release as soon as more information is received.
Acting Director of Water and Sewerage Department Mr. Monoher Kerof was also contacted but said he was following the advice of the police to not comment on the matter at this time. He did say, however, that a threat was made to the department.
Virgin Islands News Online will bring you more information as it comes in.
