PURCELL, Tortola, VI- Stepping into Bliss Galleria located on the James Walter Francis Highway in Purcell may give one the impression that it is just one business, which is quite a good impression considering that the businesses all seek to complement each other.

If you didn’t know, there are actually five businesses under that one roof and they are reaping the rewards of what good business partnerships can offer.

Two of the main businesses, which persons may be well familiar with, are The Family Tree Boutique and Shaddai Promotionals.

The Family Tree Boutique, which focuses mostly on clothing and accessories for the modern, classy woman, was previously located in Road Town opposite Burke’s Garage.

“We were a start up boutique and now we are trying to expand and bring more unique items to the BVI...At the old location we only focussed on female clothing, now we are introducing a segment of clothing for men and for boys and girls within the ages 8 and 12,” said Ayana Gore Glasgow, the Manager of the boutique.

Shaddai Promotionals was previously located in Fish Bay. It specialises in branding, embroidery, imprinting on promotional products, tiles, plaques and selling of basic apparel.

Owner of the business, Sheynel Smith, was actually a Senior Compliance Officer in the financial service industry before following her heart to establish her own business, which she says continues to expand especially since moving under the roof of Bliss Galleria.

“Business has been wonderful, I think the location in itself has been ideal. We have a lot of walk in customers, something I didn’t have at Fish Bay.”

One of the advantages and uniqueness of Shaddai Promotionals is its ability to do imprints on just about any product, including clothing, mugs, bags, slates and glass.

Smith said her aim is to offer customer service and satisfaction that are second to none.

“The aim of Shaddai promotionals is to make it a one stop shop. You don’t have to worry about getting the products. If we don’t have it in stock we can always order from our suppliers.”

Persons who may definitely take an interest in Shaddai Promotionals are various sports teams that may need uniforms with numbers and logs imprinted on them, companies that may want to brand a particular product such as pens or mugs to promote themselves and individuals who may want a particular imprint on a particular material or product for a gift item.

Most importantly and bottom line for customers would be the price of getting a particular job done. Ms Smith said not only is her business making it convenient to have embroidery and imprinting done right here in the Virgin Islands but much cheaper than companies that have to get the job done outside of the VI. She she said also means that customers can save time as well as money.

For The Family Tree Boutique and Shaddai Promotions, the objective is working together through open communication, which both business owners noted is critical to their operation.

In actuality, while both business owners have clothing on sale they are different in styles. In fact The Family Tree Boutique specialises mostly in clothing which can also have imprints or embroidery done on them.

“So we want to expand to show people that you don’t always have to print on polos and t-shirts. You could print on cotton dresses, canvas bags, mugs, pens, whatever you feel like. Of course there is a limitation still but whatever you think you want to print on to give customers or advertise your business we can do it,” Ms Glasgow stated.

The other businesses that make up Bliss Galleria include TFT Consultancy, which deals with accounting, human resources, compliance management and marketing, among other things. There is also a trucking company, A&S Trucking Services, which persons can also enquire about at Bliss Galleria. “You can come in and make reservations, payments, pick up invoices and so on,” Ms Glasgow said of the two businesses.

The long term goal for Bliss Galleria, she concluded, is to “basically turn it into place where person can come and find everything for their entire family.”

It is also the hope that persons would see the need to shop for variety locally, right at Bliss Galleria, especially since the prices seem to be just right.
