Big shake up @ TRC! Ayana S. Hull & Guy L. Malone Out!
Attorney Ayana S. Hull
One of the National Democratic Party’s (NDP) first Statutory Chairman appointed following the November 2011 general elections, Ms Hull’s tenure took effect on December 15, 2011 for three years and expired last month.
According to information reaching our news site, Ms Hull - a local attorney and author of a best seller book ‘The Pentateuch: My first hunt for the Holy Scriptures’ - opted not to renew her appointment.
It means, according to the TRC Act, no Board meetings can be held until a new Chairperson is approved by the House of Assembly.
Both Ms Hull and Minister for Communications and Works Honourable Mark H. Vanterpool, whose portfolio includes that of the TRC, could not be reached for comment on this information or when a new TRC Chairman will be appointed.
Guy L. Malone
Mr Malone, who was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the TRC in 2012 following the election of the NDP Government, was handed a letter signed by the Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Communications and Works Anthony S. McMaster advising him of government’s position on his employment contract.
The letter, which was read to our newsroom from sources close to the matter, indicated that Mr Malone’s contract will not be renewed come next month and he is; however, eligible to re-apply for the post which will be advertised soon.
Our newsroom reached Mr Malone who did not confirm or deny our information; however, he said he had no comment at this time, but promised he “might be willing to speak on the issue within a week or so”.
4G, Who gets it?
It is reported that the Ministry of Communications and Works has been bringing pressure on the TRC to award the LTE (4G) Spectrum to a cellular company.
However, there has been a push by the CEO to ensure that the process is transparent and fair to all the telecommunication carriers. It is unclear whether this has contributed to Mr Malone’s ousting.

Ayanna doesn't want the job anymore, she is probably now focusing on her professional career. Guy was given a chance and perhaps they weren't pleased with his performance so the job will be advertised and he can apply if he wants. So Government shouldn't let go any locals despite performance or other issues, on the basis that they are local?
Guy better thank ndp for giving him a chance
This is a simple issue of competence and Guy lacks the competence to move the TRC where it needs be.
This has nothing to do with NDP, VIP or Investment Club. It's about compitence plain and simple.
Just like the other guy who used to be in immigration. When you stand up for what's right and legal you become an enemy of the state. Keep your head up General, good look for not getting caught up into the corruption or MV and the others in that political gang. Their time will come. They forget they only get elected one time at a time and no guarantee they will.
When you think you better than other people and you forget where you came from, these things happen to you all the time!
Dont worry Sweet Cheeks, We gon write another book. xOx
Jealousy and envy will kill the BVI! We will cut each other's throat for a job, a JOB! We will kill each other to sit at a desk 9-5, but when it comes to support each other as it relates to actually owning something of value, then it is another story. You are only local when people can get what they want out of you. When they are envious and jealous of what you have then you are called names. Imagine everyone can hate CCT and love LIME and DIGICEL who they don't even know. Sick @#$$% wonder why people can come in here and take advantage of you in your own country and then running to blame Government. It's your mentality that needs to change.
