Beyonce A. DeFreitas bags Bronze @ 2023 NACAC 100M U23 sprint
Information from the BVI Athletics Association (BVIAA) is that DeFreitas bagged her thrilling bronze medal at the 100m finals after running 11.41 seconds (+0.7mps) against a competitive class of seasoned athletes.
Earlier during the day, Beyonce ran 11.37 seconds (+5.5mps) securing a third-place finish in heat 1 qualifying for the 100m finals.
American sprinter Mia Brahe-Pedersen set the pace in women’s 100m semifinals for heat one at the 2023 NACAC U23 Championships where DeFreitas qualified for the final.
“It feels great to win a medal at the NACAP championships. It's been a long season and it's gonna continue to be a long season,” Beyonce said in an interview after the race.
