‘Be serious’ about VI's constitutional review process- Ronnie W. Skelton

Mr Skelton made the comments while sitting as a guest on ‘Real Talk’ with host Karia J. Christopher and Chairman of the Constitutional Review Commission (CRC) Mrs Lisa E. Penn-Lettsome, who was also a guest on the panel.
“I would like to take this opportunity to encourage BVIslanders [and] Belongers to be serious about this, the process that is happening already, advancement or the changes that are necessary for the Constitution,” he said.
“Because it's your life, and it's going to be for the next 10 - 15 years, and it's important that you get engaged,” the former legislator urged the VI public.
Don't wait for end of process & complain- Skelton
Mr Skelton said persons should not wait until the constitutional review process is complete and then look to complain about things they are not pleased about.
“You need to engage if you don't want to come to the meetings… there's a list of all the Commissioners. Engage one of them, and let them then guide you in the right direction,” he added.
Meanwhile, Mrs Penn-Lettsome said one major reason people should also take part in the exercise is that they may never get another opportunity to make a contribution.
“Do it as if it is the last time. There’s no guarantee that you will be able to have another constitutional review anytime soon… it is your constitution,” she reminded.
Interested persons can register for daytime meetings with the Commission by using the calendar on the Commission’s website at www.yourconstitution.vg, where they will also be able to access information on the process.

True, a review of our present constitution need to be review, andr reformed. Yes, it is the public's right to have and input in the expected review of our Constitution. But many of us don't want to be governed by a legal document that favour the minority financial well-being, and for the majority things remain the same
Price Control in The BVI Is A Must.
Price Control was neverade a law in the BVI. Potitiicains don't care. They are making great profit whileths majority of the public that they have promised to represent are drowning in debt and others cannot afford to eat balance diet due to the lack of our political leaders will to confront various business owners on this (price Control) issue.
So you, former VIP Financial, and health Minister, Mr
Ronnie Skelton, we more urgently are in need of Price Control than we do a constitution review but we do need a constitution review, also.
Agree with me, let push for both a Price Control law, and a contitution review. The majority of our citizens are feeling great financial pressure at this time.
There is a saying; it is not the cow the bawl or moo the hardest is the most thirsty.
The late USA President, John Kennedy in a presidential speech said, I "Ask not what your country can do for you, but rather ask what your can do for your country. The BVI is is the birth place of you, many others, and me. We can, for sure, do more for the betterment of the people of the British Virgin Islands, but not without genuine action love.
Mr. Ronnie Skelton, I greatly respect you, and your family too.
