ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A sumptuous meal a day after Thanksgiving can never be too late and the students of the Eslyn Henley Richez Learning Centre showed that much appreciation by having a good eat and then returning a big ‘thank you’ to the BVI Bankers Association today, November 29, 2013.

The very mannerly and orderly students were served up turkey, ham, tilapia, rice, macaroni pie, coleslaw and a host of other delicacies by four members of the BVI Bankers Association, including the Chairperson of the PR Committee, Mr Roger H. Martin who is employed with Scotiabank.

“It has been done in the past and we just wanted to continue that tradition and spend a little time with the students of the Eslyn Henley Richez Learning Centre. Collectively, the banks in the community take great pride in sponsoring and taking part in such events,” Mr Martin told Virgin Islands News Online.

The other members of the BVI Bankers Association who were present to personally serve the students their lunch were Mr Tomas Jones of the National Bank of the Virgin Islands, Ms Ebony Rhymer of First Bank and Ms Roslyn McMillan of First Caribbean International Bank.

Shasha S. Creque of VP Bank and Jermaine Phillip of Banco Popular were also involved in the planning and organising of the event but were unable to attend the luncheon.

“On behalf of the family of the Eslyn Henley Richez Learning Centre, we want to say a heartfelt thank you for your kind gestures that you have been doing every year for the students. Thanksgiving is a time when you come out of the office and centre on others and I am so glad that you have chosen this school to partner with and to treat the children with such a sumptuous meal,” commented Principal (Ag.) of the Centre, Mrs Vansittart Huggins.

People with mentality like you is an insult to children who have special needs. That isn't a question they will ask - even if it was a sandwich or snacks, they are thankful, grateful and appreciative children. Maybe that's why God made them the way they are because they might have turned out to be an insult to normal and become like people like you. Thanks Bank Association for remembering those who are often forgotten. Whatever the menu was, from the pics, we see that the spread was great. Keep up the good work and remember that the more good you do, is the more good that come back to you and your offspring.

Can't you have some decency for once and leave your obvious hatred for the minister out of this? This is about a group of community spirited people sharing love on Thanksgiving and putting smiles on the faces of the kids. You're hurting yourself with all your hatred and doing nothing to the minister. Get rid of your "root of bitterness" boss. It going give you cancer. Let it go.
