ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The votes are in and the BVI Football Association’s (BVIFA) Player of the Month of October is Ballstarz overlapping left back Reuben Stoby while the Manager of the Month is Vincent ‘Nabu’ Samuel also of Ballstarz.

The Player of the Month and Manager of the Month competition is a regular new feature for the 2013/14 season of the BVIFA. Starting with the Month of October 2013, players, fans, club members and the general public visiting the BVIFA Facebook page have the chance to vote for a Player and a Manager of the Month, the BVIFA announced on its Facebook page.

Visitors to the BVIFA Facebook page were required to hit "LIKE" to place their votes for the Player/Manager of their choice. Voting closed at noon on Friday November 1, 2013.

Reuben Stoby, who netted twice for the Ballstarz in their 6-0 whipping of Police Panthers in the Virgin Gorda Cup, received 21 votes as against 6 votes by Declan Cassidy who scored a hat trick in the 4-1 win over Old Madrid, and 2 votes by Jovan Wallace who netted a hat trick in the 6-0 win for Sugar Boyz over Haitian Stars in the same competition.

Manager Vincent ‘Nabu’ Samuel, who was selected as a candidate after guiding the Ballstarz into Sunday's Virgin Gorda Cup semi-final against One Love, received 13 votes.

Rodney Dore, who saw Sugar Boys into the VG cup semi-finals, secured 4 votes while Glen Bascombe, credited for guiding VG United to their first win in 2 years when they edged Wolues 1-nil, received 2 votes.
