HARRIGAN’S ESTATE, Tortola, VI- An alleged armed robber was shot by police following a robbery on a home at Harrigan’s Estate this afternoon, December 2, 2024.
According to reports reaching our news centre, four armed men entered the home at Harrigan’s Estate and made off with a few items.
Police responded promptly to the reports of the armed robbery and were on their way to the home when the gunmen, in their escape bid, ended up taking the same route the police were on.
Reports are that the robbers fired at police while abandoning their vehicle; however, one of them was shot as police returned fire.
One person is reportedly in custody.
A blood-stained vehicle was noticed at the scene of the shootout.
