The Governments of Antigua and Barbuda and Anguilla have signed an agreement that will bring their maritime border dispute to an end.

The agreement delimits the overlap of the 200 nautical mile Exclusive Maritime Zone of Anguilla and Antigua and Barbuda and furthermore provides for the delimitation of the potential overlap between the parties in the maritime space beyond 200 nautical miles.

Both countries reached this point after two rounds of negotiations over the last three years.

The Anguillan Governor stressed this agreement follows international maritime rules, laws and protocols, specifically the United National Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

You know, it would be useful to actually show where the boundaries are. So lazy.

Understand that it is between the UK Government in the person of the Governor who has agreed with the independent country of Antigua and Barbuda. The elected government of Anguilla has no such authority under the colonial status.
