Andrews sets new National time trial record!
The winners of the two race events are also named as the BVI National Champions in both categories. So along with his new record Andrews also took the title of time trial champion. However, he was unable to make it a clean sweep as he finished second in the Jason Bally Memorial Race, which comes with the title of National Champion.
In the Women’s time trail, Lisa Adamson took first place in her first competitive ride of 2012.
1st Place Male: Orano Andrews 48.54.611
1st Place Female: Lisa Adamson 27.24.285
For the main event, the Jason Bally Memorial, Orano Andrews took the lead very early but he was unable to hold the lead and the attack of the main group until the finish. At the end of six gruesome laps, Phillippe Leroy took first place and became the BVICF National Champion 2012 in the male division with an excellent and consistent ride. Sally Blackmore became the BVICF National Champion 2012 in the female division with a very good ride also.

At the medal ceremony, Third District representative the Honourable Julian Fraser R.A was on hand to present the various awards and President of the BVICF, Darel Christopher, thanked all the participants, volunteers, supporters, sponsors and parents of the junior athletes for supporting the events.
