TRELLIS BAY, Beef Island, VI- Now that air travel restrictions are being lifted throughout the Caribbean and persons have been looking to travel more frequently, new air travel options are also being presented here in the Virgin Islands.

Through collaboration between locally-owned North Eastern Caribbean Airline and Anguilla Air Services, an aircraft from Anguilla will now be operating in the Virgin Islands, out of the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island.

The aircraft, a 9-seat  BN2 Islander, is already in the Virgin Islands, Mr Neville C. Brathwaite of North Eastern Caribbean Airline confirmed to Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) today, February 3, 2021.

Mr Brathwaite, who is also associated with VI Airlink, said the plane can be chartered to fly to Anegada and Virgin Gorda as well as all the other Caribbean Islands.

Further, Mr Brathwaite said North Eastern Caribbean Airline is working on adding St Croix, St Thomas and Puerto Rico to their routes, noting that all paperwork is already submitted.

The local pilot and businessman said the airline can also operate a schedule. “We are working on the reservation system,” Mr Brathwaite said.

    Congratulations to Mr. Braithwaite for his vision to operate the air service to the Northern Caribbean islands. This is a great achievement for a local pilot. I do hope that the people of these islands will give him all the support to ensure that his business survive, Good luck to him.
