I may be a bit off here but it has been reported that some of the new cases of COVID 19 in the Territory were introduced through persons who were smuggled here. While we continue to patrol our borders, I suggest that we immediately pass new legislation that would drastically increase the penalty for these evil persons (the smugglers) who are putting the lives of our people at risk and those who are harboring/hiding the people who enter here illegally. Anyone caught doing so and were not born in the BVI should be stripped of their immigration status whether they are work permit holders, holders of residency cards, belongers, or Naturalized persons. They should be heavily fined, deported and given a lifetime ban from reentering the territory. If the smugglers are BV Islanders, apart from a heavy fine, they should be given long confinement sentences. We are asking people to report suspected illegal activities while it is the duty of all citizens of these Territory to do so, why not offer some type of reward to anyone who gave information which lead to the apprehention of these smugglers and illegal persons in the territory?

You can be tested negative and still have the virus. A friend of my mother who lives in the States tested negative 3 times and showed up positive on the 4th test. She said she thought she was going to die.
