Congrats Kyron... in spite of the disappointment, know that you did your best (literally running your season's best in spite of the injury, which speaks volumes).

Ignore the naysayers, you're still an Olympic athlete who made it to 5th place of the Finals and have represented us well. Best wishes on recovery and the next season!

Just a thought if we want a medal why don't we try doing some of the lesser-known sports, like shooting, or archery, etc, track and field is going to be hard to get a medal in

The BVI has some world class track and field athletes. In addition to Kyron McMaster, Tahesia Harrigan-Scott competed in the 2012 Olympics, and Chantal Malone competed in the 2020 Olympics.

Indeed they did not medal, neither did most of the Olympics participants. And many who did, did so by the narrowest of margins. Instead of being disparaging about the Kyron’s failure to medal, be proud that a Territory of 40,000 produced one of the top 5 fastest hurdlers in the world (population 7+ billions). Or, maybe try winning your own Olympic medal in 2028 to get a sense of what it takes to even get to the starting line. Well done Kyron say I

He starts off to slow. With in 15 seconds the top 3 was already gone and competing against themselves..He should have been in that mix. Then again those are the top 3 in the world. But a better strategy may have given a different results..

What a shame you did not share your insight before the race started. You clearly know much more than the coaches.

Congrats to Kyron. @wellsah, you need to keep your negative comments to yourself. That’s the problem with people like you, you have no national pride. I’d like to see you achieve his skill, first in two heats.

Love to see our black men doing great things. Kyron is an amazing athlete, but the winner is also a young black man. He beat the world record holder. Kudos to you sir! You were totally awesome.
Being a black man in America isn't always easy.
