ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Kraft Heinz is recalling thousands of cases of Capri Sun, announcing Friday, August 12, 2022, that the children-friendly drink pouches might be contaminated with cleaning solution.

The company said in a statement that the diluted cleaning solution, which is used on food processing equipment, was inadvertently introduced into a production line at one of its factories.

Kraft Heinz is recalling about 5,760 cases of the drink, saying the only flavor affected was Wild Cherry Flavored Juice Drink Blend beverages. Cases are made up of four cartons, which usually have 10 pouches, meaning more than 230,000 individual drink pouches could have been affected.

The “Best When Used By” date on the cases is June 25, 2023 and the manufacturer code on the pouch and carton would be between 0733 and 0900.

No ‘products on hand’- Riteway

Meanwhile, Riteway Food Markets alerted its customers of the recall on its Facebook page on August 15, 2022.

“At this time we do not have any products on hand to confirm whether we are affected by the Caprisun recall or not.

“We will update our customers once we have more information available,” Riteway stated.

Time to stop buying these juices for your children. Get limes, passion fruit, soursop, and all other natural fruits and make juice for yourselves and your children. These people cannot be trusted. They killing some of you all out with the vaccine and now they want to kill us out with the food. We need to be eating what we grow. These are serious times.
