ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Low-level moisture bags embedded within a stream of moderate to cool straight winds will continue to move through the area and maintain a moderate chance of occasional rain activity over and around the islands for the next 24 hours.
This is according to the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) in its weather report for Sunday, December 17, 2023.
Weather today: Partly cloudy skies, with brief periods of cloudy and a moderate or 40 percent chance of brief passing morning showers.
Weather Tonight: Regular to partly cloudy and generally cool with a 20 percent or a slight chance of a brief passing overnight rain, becoming mostly acceptable after then.
Winds: East-Northeast 22 to 33 mph or 12 to 21 mph, with lighter streaks overnight.
Seas: 1.8 to 2.8 meters or 6 to 9 feet with northeast tide reaching 2.1 meters or 7 feet. Therefore, a high tide advisory remains in effect mainly for the northern and eastern coasts of the islands.
