4 companies bid to supply diesel & lubricants to BVIEC for next 2 years
The four companies that have supplied bids are Delta Petroleum, Sol, Burke’s Garage representing Shell Lubricants and Aegean.
The bid opening exercise was conducted virtually by General Manager of BVIEC Mr Leroy A. E. Abraham in the presence of the Board of Directors of BVIEC and representatives of the four companies via Webex on June 18, 2020.
Delta Petroleum
Delta Petroleum’s bid was $456, 020 for the supply of diesel oil for Anegada Power Station.
Its bid for the supply of lubricating oil (Exxon Mobilgard 412, Castrol MHP 154, DELO 1003) to Henry Wilfred Smith Power Station for the supply period totaled $238, 362.30.
Delta’s bid for the removal of waste oil and slops from Wilfred Henry Power Station was given as $2.50 per gallon for the supply period.
Burke’s Garage (Shell Lubricants)
Burke’s Garage submitted a bid valued $8, 918.10 for the supply of Shell Rimula R4 X 15W-40 lubricants and $266,560 for the supply of Shell Gadinia 40 to the Anegada and Henry Wilfred Smith Power Stations respectively.
Its bid for the removal of waste oil and slops was $2.05 per US Gallon.
No bid was submitted for the supply of diesel fuel for Anegada Power Station.
Sol
Sol’s bid for the supply of diesel oil to the Anegada Power Station amounted to $517,899.80.
Its bid for supply of lubricating oil to Henry Wilfred Smith and Anegada Power Stations was $372,308.51.
Sol’s bid for the removal of waste oil and slops at Henry Wilfred Smith Power Station was $2.60 per gallon.
Aegean
Aegean’s bid for supply of lubricating oil (Aegean Altogen 014, Aegean Vigor Turbo 15W-40) to Henry Wilfred Smith Power Station was $237,823.
For the removal of waste oil and slops, Aegean’s bid was $2.08 per gallon.
According to Mr Abraham, the quality of fuel and specifications will be taken into consideration during the evaluation process as he noted that BVIEC had produced a list of certified products that can only be utilised by BVIEC’s equipment.
“All of the bids would be thoroughly and rigorously analysed,” Mr Abraham had assured.
With the current contracts for the supply of diesel oil and lubricants expiring on August 31, 2020, the awarding of the contracts is expected to be done anytime soon.
