2025 Seatrade Cruise Global a success for VI



Hon Rymer led the VI delegation to the four-day event which he said concluded with highly successful meetings and networking opportunities.
In a press release on April 11, 2025, Hon Rymer said, “Our focus on sustainability and enhancing the unique appeal of the BVI as a premier cruise destination resonated well with industry leaders…We look forward to implementing these strategies to ensure a sustainable and thriving cruise sector for the Territory.”
The VI was one of one hundred and twenty countries represented during the event held at the Miami Beach Convention Center from April 7 to 10.
Seatrade Cruise Global 2025 brought together over eleven thousand industry professionals.

The VI delegation was comprised of representatives from the Ministry of Communications and Works, the BVI Ports Authority, the BVI Tourist Board, and private sector partners, engaged in discussions with key stakeholders in the cruise industry. These interactions aimed to strengthen existing partnerships and forge new collaborations within the global cruise market.
The success of the Territory’s participation at this year’s Seatrade underscores its commitment to fostering long-term partnerships within the cruise industry, Deputy Managing Director of the BVI Ports Authority, Mr Dean B. Fahie added.

The delegation attended conference sessions and workshops, which provided insights into the latest trends and strategies shaping the future of cruise travel.
The outcomes from Seatrade Cruise Global 2025 are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the Territory's future in the global cruise market, as the VI continues to enhance its tourism product and leverage opportunities for economic growth.
