17-year-old slapped with drugs & traffic charges

According to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Arrest Blotter for August 27-September 9, 2023, Police on September 6, 2023, arrested and charged a 17-year-old male of Free Bottom for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Drug, Failure to Stop at The Sound of the Siren, Driving Without a Driver’s License, Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle, Driving When Not Covered by a Policy of Insurance, Driving Without a Crash Helmet, Driving Without Front and Rear Identification Plates, Keep For Use An Unlicensed Vehicle. ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A 17-year-old male of Free Bottom has found himself in hot water after he was allegedly held with a controlled drug and found to be in violation of several traffic laws.

According to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Arrest Blotter for August 27-September 9, 2023, Police on September 6, 2023, arrested and charged the 17-year-old male for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Drug, Failure to Stop at The Sound of the Siren, Driving Without a Driver’s License, Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle, Driving When Not Covered by a Policy of Insurance, Driving Without a Crash Helmet, Driving Without Front and Rear Identification Plates, Keep For Use An Unlicensed Vehicle.

The teenager was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 and is to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on October 19, 2023.

INFLICTING GRIEVOUS BODILY HARM

On 04-09-2023 at about 1330hrs, Police arrested and charged Kervin McMillan, 46, of Great Harbour, Jost Van Dyke for Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm and Armed with an Offensive Weapon. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on 16-10-2023.

CARRYING A FIREARM WITHOUT A LICENSE

On 06-09-2023 at about 1951hrs, Police arrested and charged Keshawn Baronville, 30, of Baughers Bay for Carrying a Firearm without a Licence, and three counts of Possession of Explosives. He appeared at the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to His Majesty’s Prison.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A PROHIBITED WEAPON

1. On 04-09-2023 at about 1900hrs, Police arrested and charged Keron Hodge, 21 of Purcell Estate for Unlawful Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and two counts of Unlawful Possession of Explosives. He appeared at the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to His Majesty’s Prison.

BURGLARY

1. On 31-08-2023 at about 1403hrs, Police arrested and charged Howard Hughes, 53, of no fixed place of abode with two counts of Burglary. He appeared at the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to His Majesty’s prison.

2. On 03-09-2023 at about 1748hrs, Police arrested and charged Glenville Callwood, 28, of Baughers Bay for Burglary. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear at the Magistrate’s court on 16-10-2023.

THEFT

On 04-09-2023 at about 1213hrs, Police arrested and charged a 15-year-old of Old Plantation for Theft. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on 16-10-2023.

ASSAULT OCCASIONING ACTUAL BODILY HARM

On 04-09-2023 at about 1420hrs, Police arrested and charged Kempes Nicholls, 32, of Road Town for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm and Carrying an Offensive Weapon. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on 16-10-2023.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On 07-09-2023 at about 0705hrs, Police arrested and charged Dwight Smith, 28 of The Valley, Virgin Gorda for Criminal Damage and Armed with an Offensive Weapon.

HANDLING STOLEN GOODS

On 01-09-2023 at about 1843hrs, Police arrested and charged Philip Lawrence, 32 of Manuel Reef with two counts of Handling Stolen Goods. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear at the magistrate’s Court at a later date.
