Landing gear woes force emergency landing by InterCaribbean
According to reports the InterCaribbean Embrear 120—registration VQ-TVG—took off from the Terence airport but its landing gear did not retract
After some 30 minutes of trying the pilot declared an emergency and returned to Beef Island.
Safe return
It was not immediately clear how many passengers were on board or what caused the landing gear to malfunction, but it was a safely returned to Beef Island.
Officials from the airline did not immediately respond to our news centre inquires.
Only recently a Fly Jamaica flight experienced similar problems after take-off in Guyana but crashed on its return injuring several passengers.
