To conclusion that seem.to have nothing to do with the school. Trouble or something like that can happen anywhere. God forbid, but you can be on vacation and loose someone close to gun shooting.

The school did the right thing to lock down the school.

Who's stopping you. This have nothing to do with school except it happened in the vicinity. Don't you think it cannot happened anywhere else in the BVI???

@ Miranda, so you think shootings are only near the public school? They are everywhere, and you will pay for private school for it to be shot up too. Go ahead, make my day.

Lady save your money for college so you don’t have to be in the government face to send your child there. It doesn’t matter where your child attends school, if you are a devoted and involved parent you will be able to guide your child. Too many homes in the BVI have parents chasing the U.S dollar, it’s not their fault it’s just how it is. The same private school some of you running to putting children out for smoking, sexing and other inappropriate behaviors. As a result they end up at high school, because high school cannot tell them no like the private schools can. They are government funded and have to say yes to everybody even when they don’t want to!

Do you think it makes a difference during day light or darkness? The criminals and gunmen is way past bolder. The gunman don’t care about what time it is when they spot their target or whoever or whatever is in the way.

I commend the school for locking down as well and keeping the students safe. As a parent, to any schools on the Island please go on lock down if you hear gunshots in the vicinity of your school. These gunmen is more brazen and may run up in a school to get away from the shooters.

To play game, one has to know the rules of the game to play the game. Men are amateurs in this tough game where women have the power.. They have what men don’t have and bad. Women have brought down kings. Some men try to control women and their powerful weapon, leading to trouble, sometime big trouble.. Women use their power to abuse, exploit men who are chupid..History is replete in instances where women power has ruined men and warm loving relationships they had but want more sexy, exotic exclusive side tings. Want all end up wid nun tarl. Men wise up yu chupid rass mon. You cannot control women power so quit trying to and getting yu self in trouble. Again, women power have ruin and bring king’s down. What is being done about the gun violence in these isles of ours ? Every time there’s a gun involved incident, why are we not in the streets with signs ? Asking for this to stop ? Why isn’t the Church saying anything ? Why isn’t the Government doing something ? Ohh yea! Crime makes the elites money.. The Parents have to be first on deck and deal with their sons if not now when? $hi+ bout to change big time in this world .. the energy that’s in this music that’s pushing guns, killing and drinking is played even in our homes and it’s cool… then they go out get a tool and do what the music says .. Then.. THEN the “GOVERNMENT” (Govern-ur-mental) is gearing up to bring in the King of Vulgarity and Crime….Kartel to seal the ritual and turn here into Guntown and UK sons a bitches right there smiling waiting to swoop in and Take over … smh ohhh they already have the TV show I guess they will release when all this starts remember they leaked it to the masses and said oh it was a mistake ?...it’s like the entire island is asleep… But it’s Cool I know I BEEN getting ready for what’s to come, are you ????

Wonder if the Turkish Government would allow VYBZ KARTEL to do a gangsters concert in Turkey since the woman have Turkish roots. THANK YOU STEVE FOR BEING STUPID AND COMING UP WITH A VERY BAD DECISION. Every gangster will be at the concert STRAP UP. HOPE Y’all have some damn good security not no mall cops .

To the young men and women in the Virgin Islands on Tortola in particular....please take some time out to calculate the FUTURE COST of your actions, decisions and choices. Take heed please.

Good advice but a big challenge to heed. The frontal cortex of the brain is not fully developed unto the early 20’s. Most of the people involved in all this criminality are younger. It’s also lamentable that there have been decades of underinvestment in education. Literacy and numeracy are essential tools for critical thinking. The less than 50% pass rate in CXC maths is telling. The age old question that remains to be answered is what is the future is the BVI government building for future generations. Not having one or even a plan to create one is not producing good results. Where there is no vision, the people will perish.

If there was a police in uniform or a marked police car present that would not have happened. There are always snitches and undercover around but a police car or police on foot not running personal errands is a rare sight. Stop hiring foreign police that is all the force is filled with and then the people say boy Tortola people are stupid but the majority of people with no regard for the law or traffic and dont know how to drive are foreign. Not against foreigners but stop calling down Tortola people when we are a minority and the police is always foreign, dressed like a ninja or undercover no help at all to the common man.

Things are not getting better its getting worse!

If you can't beat them, join them! You forget that you live in Nature's Little Secret? Look at all the unsloved murders that occur here. You think it's a coincidence that thos is the case? You literally have murders and conspirers walking around this place laughing and talking with you. They are more respected and protected than the politicians and police. Remember Kendoy Penn? His murder is still unsloved to this day. Honest people here who do Honest deeds are crucified like how they killed JESUS CHRIST.
